Here you have room to grow, make an impact, and contribute your ideas while doing work that truly matters to society.\nDescription\nWe are now seeking an accounting economist who wants to be here from the beginning and help build a modern and operations-focused finance function in a new organization.\nYou will be part of the finance unit together with six colleagues and work closely with the finance manager and controller. Together, you are responsible for the company's accounting and the four owner municipalities' water and sewage operations. The role also involves close collaboration with the finance functions in the owner municipalities.\nAs an accounting economist, you will have independent responsibility for the company's accounting while contributing to the development of processes, procedures, and work methods. Here you have the opportunity to combine qualified accounting work with development initiatives in an organization that is in an exciting startup phase.\nResponsibilities\nAs an accounting economist, you are responsible for the company's ongoing accounting and financial reporting and ensure that accounting complies with applicable legislation, owner directives, and good accounting practices.\nIn this role, you work with monthly, interim, and annual financial statements and prepare annual reports. You are also responsible for investment and fixed asset accounting and participate in preparing financial reports and decision-making materials for management, the board, auditors, and owner municipalities.\nAn important part of the assignment is ensuring correct financial tracking of water and sewage operations, including separate reporting and financial information related to rate-financed operations. You also contribute to the development and efficiency of finance processes, internal controls, and digital work methods.\nQualifications\nWe are looking for someone with an academic degree in accounting or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have several years of experience with qualified accounting work and good knowledge of financial statements, VAT and tax returns, annual reports, and financial reporting.\nTo succeed in this role, we see that you have experience with corporate accounting and are confident working independently with qualified accounting matters.
