You assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements and contribute to the financial section of the annual report. Examples of other work tasks included in the role are accounting for VAT and employer contributions, reconciliations of payment flows and bank accounts, and reporting in Hermes.\nYou are responsible for the administration of our financial system Unit4 ERP, where system ownership is managed by a cross-county administrative board function.\nYou provide support and advice on accounting matters internally within the unit and to other parts of the County Administrative Board. You work closely with other functions that provide support to operations, including controllers and administrators. You also prepare materials for audits and other reports.\nThe role includes both analytical and operational work. You investigate and quality-assure accounting matters and drive improvement and efficiency work together with your colleagues.\n \nAre you the one we're looking for?\nFor this role, we want you to have:\nHigher education\/university degree in economics, or alternatively other education that we consider equivalent,\nSeveral years of current experience in government accounting including knowledge of the state's financial model and relevant legislation for government agencies,\nVery good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing,\nGood knowledge of English in both speech and writing,\nGood knowledge of the Office package, primarily Excel.\n\nFor you to succeed and thrive in the role, it is important that you are thorough and work systematically. The unit is responsible for accounting, financial statements, annual reports, and the authority's financial model, and coordinates cross-organizational processes for planning, budgeting, and follow-up. The role of Accounting Economist is part of the accounting group, which is coordinated by the chief accountant.\nThe unit is part of the department for Business and Management Support.
