Please visit www.gotland.se\/avfall.\nYour duties\nAs a sanitation driver in Visby city center, you play a central role in keeping the city clean, pleasant, and sustainable. You are Region Gotland's face to the public and have daily contact with both residents and businesses when you collect food and residual waste. This is work that makes a difference\u2014both for the environment and for preserving our shared cultural heritage.\nThe duties consist mainly of collecting and transporting waste with a rear-loading garbage truck. You use vehicle computers and RFID equipment in your daily work, report deviations, and are responsible for basic maintenance and inspection of the vehicle and its attachments. The work is often done together with colleagues, but also requires you to be self-directed and take responsibility for performing the job in a safe and careful manner. Because you move through Visby's narrow alleys and historic quarters, it is important that you drive responsibly and carefully.\nIn addition to the above duties, other tasks may occur based on the needs of the operation.\nWho are you?\nWe are looking for someone who has a Class C driver's license, valid YKB certification, and training in work on roads.
