Your tasks will include: \u2022Sample preparation for targeted and untargeted metabolomics analyses.\u2022LC-MS analysis using established CMSI workflows.\u2022Operation and monitoring of LC-MS\/MS and LC-HRMS instrumentation.\u2022Routine quality control and assessment of analytical performance.\u2022Documentation of laboratory work and analytical results.\u2022Contribution to instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, SOPs and quality documentation.\u2022General laboratory activities required for reliable and efficient operation of the infrastructure.\u2022Close collaboration with other CMSI staff in the execution of analytical projects.\n \nThe focus of the position is on running and ensuring the quality of established analytical workflows. Preferable starting date: 1 November, 2026. \nQualifications\nWe are looking for one-two analytical chemists who enjoy practical laboratory work and have a strong interest in mass spectrometry. The following qualifications are required: \u2022MSc in analytical chemistry, or an equivalent degree with a strong focus on analytical chemistry.\u2022Hands-on experience of LC-MS-based analytical work.\u2022Practical experience of sample preparation and instrumental analysis.\u2022Good understanding of chromatography and mass spectrometry.\u2022Ability to independently perform and document laboratory work.\u2022Good written and spoken English. The following qualifications are considered meritorious: \u2022Experience in targeted and\/or untargeted metabolomics.\u2022Experience with UHPLC-MS\/MS and\/or UHPLC-HRMS systems.\u2022Experience of independently operating and troubleshooting LC-MS instrumentation.\u2022Experience in quantitative bioanalysis.\u2022Experience in systematic quality assurance work, including SOPs and analytical documentation.\u2022Experience of working with large sample series.\u2022Experience from a research infrastructure, core facility or other service-oriented analytical laboratory.\u2022PhD in analytical chemistry or a closely related field.
