We are looking for a candidate with strong application expertise in mAbs, Ab variants and other recombinant proteins, including process development expertise and biopharmaceutical manufacturing process understanding, with a deep understanding of chromatography fundamentals.\nThis position reports to the Director for the Start to Finish Department in R&D, which is part of the Resins & Technologies Business Unit located in Uppsala, Sweden and will be an on-site role. The Start to Finish team focuses on applications for customers' complete end-to-end processes and thought leadership.\nWhat you will do:\nSupport the organization as a chromatography subject matter expert in Market Support and NPD projects.\nActively work to identify and promote new business opportunities for Cytiva cross-functionally including but not limited to mAb (monoclonal antibody) and Ab (antibody) variants applications.\nDrive innovation and strategy within your area of expertise.\nTake on responsibility as Project Manager for Research projects\/Seed & Select activities if required.\nAct as a scientific\/technology mentor for R&D personnel, not limited to the department.\nGain external visibility through presentations at external conferences and\/or by publishing papers in scientific journals.\nActively contribute with product and customer expertise across the BioProcess organization.\nBuild and maintain an external network including biopharmaceutical companies, and initiate and lead external collaborations with customers and technology providers.\nBuild and maintain good knowledge of competitors and competing products\/technologies.\nIf you are seeking a challenging role where your expertise in downstream processes and technologies as well as biopharma development can make a significant impact, we invite you to join our application team at Resins & Technologies. Let's shape the future together.\nWho you are:\nPhD or equivalent experience\nAt least 10 years of experience in industrial development\/R&D or scientific recognition\nAt least 5 years of experience as a Senior Scientist or equivalent\nHigh level external profile representing Bioprocess\nProven record of scientific publications and\/or IP\nExpertise in chromatography and protein purification with a deep understanding of chromatography fundamentals\nStrong communication skills\nStrong coaching and mentoring skills\nExecutive presence and ability to communicate in a senior way with upper management\nExcellent English communication skills; Swedish is a plus\nTo be successful in this role, we believe you demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to convey ideas with clarity across all levels of the organization. You bring a thoughtful approach to supporting colleagues, sharing expertise and offering guidance when needed.
