The Technology and Service group is tasked with supporting the core operations of our garden. This is an exciting time at Botaniska right now. We have just moved into the first phase of our new beautiful greenhouses. The remaining parts and a new visitor center will be ready in 2028. The planned opening to the public is in 2030.\nTechnology and Service are responsible for, among other things, property maintenance, maintenance of machinery and equipment, carpentry\/painting, maintenance of irrigation systems indoors and outdoors, large-scale composting, and landscaping.\nYou will be part of a team of approximately six employees. We work both independently and together to solve operational tasks in the best way possible.\nResponsibilities\nYou will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the garden's vehicles, such as wheel loaders, lawnmowers, and electric forklifts, as well as handling contacts with external suppliers and workshops. The unit has a broad mandate, and we often help each other across different areas of expertise.\nQualifications\nWe are looking for someone who is trained as a vehicle mechanic and has relevant professional experience. Relevant experience and training\/certification to operate heavy vehicles such as wheel loaders\/compact loaders is also a requirement.\nThe following training\/experience is desirable:\nExperience from the green industry\nExperience in welding\/blacksmithing\nExperience in plumbing\nExperience in carpentry\/painting\n\nSince the role includes administrative tasks, such as ordering and procurement, you need to have basic computer skills.\nTo succeed as a service technician with us, you are engaged, organized, and thorough.
