The Construction Manager will report to the Site Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below.\nOversee, manage, and direct construction from beginning to end.\nWork very closely and coordinate with the Project Manager.\nCreate and manage the overall Site Construction Schedule.\nThe Site Construction Manager shall be experienced in the same or substantially similar responsibilities on projects similar in size, type, and complexity to the Work and the Facility.\nExtensive industry experience as a construction manager within their area, where we see that the candidate has extensive hands-on project leadership experience in a demanding industrial environment.\nEngaging and effective leadership capability that creates forward momentum and influence across multiple disciplines and functions.\nHighly execution oriented and biased towards decision-making. Knocks down barriers and gets it done.\nFocused on problem solving and first principles orientation - challenge all stakeholders on both requirements and outputs. Proven effective technical competence.\nAbility to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management skills.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as strong coordination.\nCreate and issue 3-week lookahead schedules every week\nManage, plan, organize, implement, and control all construction activities of the project per the Project Schedule\nTrack inventory regularly\nBe the primary contact on site for construction & liaison with head office on issues relating to the project progress\nCreate contractual documents for the execution of claims-free sub-contracts for site works\nEnsure the project is constructed according to design, budget, and schedule\nPlan to prevent problems and mitigate emerging ones.\nEstablish risk profile for project(s) and proactively manage mitigation plans, dealing dynamically with unexpected outcomes to ensure project(s) success\nEnsure that company policies, procedures, standards, etc., are followed\nSite subcontractor management & implementation of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)\nEnsure site progress as per schedule. If there are delays, initiate the necessary actions like allocating extra resources or alternative work processes to ensure the schedule is back on track\nReport progress to the project manager\nProvide a daily & monthly progress report & update the schedule for submission to the customer\nDiscuss with the project team and propose\/resolve customer and site-related issues\nWork with the site sub-contractor to the standards at the site and maintain alignment with the customer\nAttend customer meetings, contractor meetings, and provide direction\nEnsure timely disposition of the site contractor queries\nIdentify and mitigate risks that may have an impact on the project\nInform the project manager of issues that may affect project profit, costs, schedules, and client relations\nEnsure maintenance of daily records of all site activities, including information on labor and plant, and any non-compliant materials or workmanship\nMonitor project cost and provide the Project Manager with timely identification of deviations from the budget\nEvaluate the change orders\/scope change requests of the subcontractor & provide inputs to the project manager\nIn case of any accidents, damages, or emergencies at the site, ensure that the proper protocol & procedure is followed\n\nSkill Requirements:\nProficient in reading Engineering drawings and documents\nProficient with computer programs, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Blue Beam, Navisworks, and navigating 3D models\nKnowledge of project control software such as Microsoft Project & Primavera P6 is preferred\nExperience in water\/wastewater treatment preferred\nOSHA standards and other site safety practices\nOrganization and priority-defining skills\nAbility to listen, communicate (written and oral), and willingness to collaborate\nCommunicate effectively in English and Swedish.\n\nEssential Functions:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
