You triage, sort, assess, take samples, stabilize, and make initial decisions together with physicians.\nAt the Acute Care Unit, patients with acute conditions such as heart attack, stroke, sepsis, and intoxications are cared for. It is more of a ward-like environment with high monitoring requirements and advanced medical technology such as CPAP, OptiFlow, and bilevel.\n\nYou work in a multidisciplinary team where your role is central. Variation in tasks and pace allows you to develop both medically and in your professional judgment.\n \nAbout the Workplace\nWe are a unit with two distinct parts \u2013 the Acute Care Unit and the Urgent Care Clinic \u2013 but with a shared mission: to provide safe and skilled care to residents of V\u00e4stmanland who need us.\nThe Acute Care Unit has 9 beds (with possibility for overflow) and is responsible at night for emergency assignments within the hospital. Average length of stay is approximately 2\u20134 days.\nThe Urgent Care Clinic is an adult medical clinic open day and evening, every day of the year. Patients of all ages with all types of complaints come here - but with a focus on adults.
