Our patients often have complex care needs, which gives you the opportunity to develop in your professional role and build broad clinical competence in gastroenterology, IBD, and surgical nursing care.\n\nYou will meet, among others, patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), both in connection with medical treatment and in the surgical pre- and postoperative phases. This means you will have the opportunity to follow the patient through different stages of the disease course and build a close and secure care relationship.\n\nWe also care for patients with various liver diseases and other gastrointestinal-related conditions, where care needs can be both complex and varied. Therefore, you will gain broad clinical experience and the opportunity to develop your competence in, for example, medical and surgical nursing care, nutrition, and pain management.
