The catchment area is VGR and Halland. We treat cancer patients of all ages.\nWe are seeking a nurse who will initially work in brachytherapy and, after a few years, pursue further education in Radiation Therapy (45 hp). The education is provided by Gothenburg University and conducted during work hours with full salary.\nAfter completing the approved education, you will have radiation therapy expertise and be able to provide radiation treatment to cancer patients.\nRadiation therapy is an exciting field with high patient benefit where the combination of nursing care and high-tech expertise is challenging and rewarding!\nIf you become one of those we invest in, we expect you to stay, develop your expertise, and drive the operations forward for several years.\nWe work office hours Monday to Friday.\n \nAbout the Job\nBrachytherapy is an operating department that is part of Radiation Therapy Sahlgrenska, where the radiation source is placed inside the patient, as opposed to external radiation therapy delivered by linear accelerator. The most common patient groups are prostate and cervical cancer, where brachytherapy is part of the oncological treatment. You work in a team with specialist nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, and hospital physicists.\n \nAbout You\nTo apply for this position, you must have a permanent employment contract with your current placement at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.\nWe are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You should have previous experience working as a nurse with cancer patients.
