We perform cataract surgery, vitreous and retinal surgery, corneal transplants, pressure-reducing surgery for glaucoma, strabismus surgery, and extraocular surgery. You will also work approximately every fifth Saturday. The department is closed on Sundays. We are a cohesive team of fourteen people consisting of nurses and nursing assistants who enjoy working and spending time together. Now we want to grow, and we hope you'll become part of our team! In day surgery care, we care for patients before and after surgery. As a nurse, you are an important link in the pre- and postoperative work around the patient. We work according to the principle of paired care, where a nurse and nursing assistant collaborate and together care for approximately four patients during a shift. Most of our postoperative patients can go home the same day after a few hours of monitoring. There is an opportunity to have different areas of responsibility, for example in CPR, if you have an interest in it.
