Primarily, patients are cared for according to the Act on Compulsory Psychiatric Care on the unit, but also patients with substance abuse problems in need of care and detoxification are treated here. Patients are also cared for on a voluntary basis. You will meet patients with varying diagnoses, conditions, and needs, which makes the work varied and developmental.\nThis fall, we moved into the newly built psychiatric facility on the hospital grounds in V\u00e4stervik, where we have now consolidated all adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry in the same building.
