At our emergency department and acute ward, we meet patients who need acute psychiatric care, for example in cases of severe suicide risk, life-threatening eating disorders, psychosis, mania, or other serious psychiatric conditions. It is work that can be challenging but also extremely meaningful. Sometimes it is precisely your presence, your approach, or your ability to create calm in a difficult situation that becomes what the patient remembers. You are an important part of our staffing and a source of security for both patients, relatives, and colleagues. Unplanned absences are part of our daily reality in healthcare. When someone becomes ill, when staffing suddenly changes, we need to be able to ensure that our patients still receive the safe and professional care they are entitled to. It can include triage and assessment of patients at the emergency department, carrying out nursing assessments and psychiatric observations, as well as providing nursing care and treatment at the acute ward.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nWe are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to work within Swedish healthcare. Swedish at a level equivalent to at least C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. Specialist training in psychiatry is a merit, as is training in CBT step 1 and experience with Melior.\n\nExperience in psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, or acute care is a merit, but what is most important to us is that you have commitment, a sense of responsibility, and a desire to make a difference.
