Municipality residents in need of social services can receive advice, support, and assistance. In most cases, our assistance and interventions are provided following an individual assessment as part of our statutory duties. We are committed to ensuring that the interventions we provide lead to independence.\n\nThe activities focus on interventions for children, young people and their parents, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, persons with disabilities who need support in their daily lives, persons in need of financial support, labor market measures, rehabilitation, and integration.\n\nIndividual and Family Care (IFO) in Nybro Municipality consists of the operational areas Adults and Children and Families. One of the overarching goals within the activities is that children and young people, to the extent possible, should be given the opportunity to live and grow up together with their family, or alternatively be reunited with their origins in other ways. The direction of the activities is based on systems theory with the child's best interests in focus, where we strive to find alternative solutions in close cooperation with families and their networks. However, the activities have an explicit responsibility to support and protect children and young people who need protection for shorter or longer periods and may need to be placed outside their homes.\n\n1 position(s).\n\nDUTIES\nThe Unit for Statutory Duties is divided into two work groups, the investigation team and the reception unit. The current position is within the investigation team.\n\nAs an investigating social secretary, your main duties consist of conducting investigations concerning children and young people according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). This involves investigating risk and protective factors and assessing whether children need support and interventions from social services. The work is varied and includes close cooperation with families and the networks around the children we meet.\n\nAs part of the systems theory approach, we maintain close cooperation between units and across operational areas. We have established routines for case teams and internal cooperation where you will work together with colleagues from other parts of the operations. We know that when we work together with common goals for change, our work achieves the best results. This also gives you the opportunity to work closely with other expertise in the operations and learn from and support each other to move forward in cases. We are co-creators in our development work and there are good opportunities to contribute to the development of the operations, especially now as we transition following the new Social Services Act.\n\nWe use BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus). We use Procapita as our operational system; in the fall we will transition to Lifecare. We have access to external supervision and are affiliated with the professional journey.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nWe are looking for someone who is a social worker or has an education assessed by the employer as equivalent that meets the competency requirements for statutory duties in the children and young people area according to the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and general advice HSLF-FS 2017:79. Other relevant education is also meritorious, such as MI. Experience with statutory duties and case handling according to SoL and LVU is meritorious, but previous work experience is a requirement. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.\n\nThe position as social secretary within the investigation team is varied and includes several different work tasks that require high competence in the field. It requires the ability to structure your work, cooperate internally and externally, and maintain lawful case handling in all work tasks. We are looking for someone who finds it easy to express themselves clearly in speech and writing and understands how your interaction affects families. You have the ability to make considerations and make well-reasoned and lawful decisions. You have good cooperation skills and thorough knowledge of BBIC and legislation, particularly the Social Services Act, LVU, OSL, FL, and FB.
