You'll become a key person in meeting people seeking financial assistance or support with addiction and harmful use, and the work gives you the opportunity to deepen and broaden your expertise in several important areas:\nPhone interviews with residents seeking support benefits\nReceiving and handling reports of concern\nGuidance to appropriate support and interventions\nHome visits and financial investigations\nMotivational conversations with adults with addiction problems\/harmful use\nDecision-making based on current legislation\nWritten documentation and case management\n\nYou'll have your own mentor and a customized introduction \u2013 a safe start if you're new to the profession, and an opportunity to quickly join the team if you already have experience.\nWe actively work on the transition to the new Social Services Act (new SoL) and have a clear vision: social services should be easily accessible, knowledge-based, and work more preventatively. You'll be an important part of this development journey and get the opportunity to influence how we move forward.\nOn the unit there are also two other teams you'll work closely with: a team working with budget and debt counseling, and a team focused on eviction prevention work.
