We are now seeking a colleague for the Family Foster Care Unit.\nThe Family Foster Care Unit is responsible for children and young people in foster care placement as well as the recruitment and supervision of contractors. In the experienced work group there are social secretaries who work combined with the roles of child secretary and foster care secretary. The work group receives external supervision and within the group there is also a senior social secretary who is responsible for day-to-day management and support. The unit is led by a unit manager.\nWork Duties\nIn your role as the child's social secretary, you are responsible for the exercise of authority regarding the child according to the Social Services Act or the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act. You are responsible for monitoring the placement and maintaining contact with the child's biological network. You also have external contacts with, for example, preschools\/schools and healthcare services based on the child's needs. The social secretary works in a team with the foster care secretary.\nThe role of Foster Care Secretary involves supporting and guiding foster parents in their mission of being a foster family. This also includes recruiting, investigating, and training foster families and, in close collaboration with the child secretary, monitoring the placed child in the foster family.
