You have an important role in supporting and guiding young offenders through their sentence and helping to create conditions for positive change.\nThe work involves individual conversations with young people and contact with their networks, in close cooperation with the authority-exercising social services and the workplaces that receive our young people. You are responsible for matching young people with appropriate workplaces and for planning, coordinating, and following up their youth service.\nBeyond the direct work with young people, you also work with issues concerning young offenders from a broader perspective. The assignment includes collaboration with, among others, the Prosecution Authority, the District Court, and other relevant parties. You also contribute your knowledge through lectures, consultation, and support to the rest of the social services.\nYou become part of an experienced team consisting of two social workers and an established operation with a clear role in the city's work with young offenders.
