The department has approximately 570 employees, including about 80 specialist physicians and approximately 30 resident physicians. The specialist physicians are organized into three sections (Intensive Care Section, Special Operations Section, and Perioperative Medicine Section) that are closely integrated within an overarching training program and a shared on-call system.\nA total of 40 operating rooms are distributed across eight operating departments. We have a shared preoperative clinic, three postoperative units, including one pediatric recovery unit and a postoperative intensive care unit (PIVA), as well as two intensive care units (CIVA\/NIVA).
