Here, the specialties of pediatrics and adolescent medicine and pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation work closely together, and extensive collaboration is conducted with child and adolescent psychiatry as well as with other care partners within and outside Region Norrbotten. Extensive collaboration also takes place with all municipalities in Norrbotten. The largest pediatric facilities are located at G\u00e4llivare and Sunderby hospitals, where the county's inpatient care is also provided. Pediatric outpatient clinics are located in G\u00e4llivare, Sunderbyn, Pite\u00e5, Kalix, and Kiruna, and all locations except Kiruna also have pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation services.\nThe G\u00e4llivare operation has just over 50 employees with a wide range of expertise. The operation is mainly located in G\u00e4llivare, with a smaller clinic in Kiruna. The catchment area is small in terms of population but large in terms of area. Given the large distances, a multifaceted operation is conducted where virtually all patient categories are cared for. We conduct standard pediatric outpatient activities as well as pediatric rehabilitation services. We have good collaboration with other pediatric care in Norrbotten and well-functioning national and regional contacts.
