You have a strong passion for working with students with varying needs and abilities and are committed to creating an inclusive and meaningful learning experience where each student has the opportunity to develop at their own level.\n\nAs a special education teacher, you are responsible for a group of students where you plan, implement, and evaluate instruction based on the adapted primary school curriculum. You lead and mentor educational assistants in daily work to ensure a structured, safe, and accessible learning environment for the students. You adapt content, teaching methods, and the learning environment so that students have the best possible conditions to participate and succeed. The instruction is characterized by clear structure, variety, and a calm, low-affect approach.\n\nYou collaborate closely with the teaching team, student support services, and guardians to create a safe, accessible, and nurturing learning environment. You contribute your special education expertise to systematic quality improvement work and in the process of providing accommodations and specialized support.
