Your primary assignment will be with grades 4\u20136.\n\nIn this position, you'll be part of the school's special education team where you work together with the special educator, student health services, mentors, and subject teachers to create the best possible conditions for student learning and goal achievement.\n\nYour Assignment\nYour primary focus is Swedish as a Second Language and language-strengthening initiatives. You'll work both directly with students and consultatively with teaching staff to develop an accessible and language-developing learning environment.\n\nYour duties include:\nTeaching Swedish as a Second Language\nAssessing, monitoring, and analyzing student language development\nPlanning and implementing targeted language-strengthening initiatives\nCoaching and support for mentors and subject teachers on language-development approaches\nCollaboration within the school's special education team and student health services\nContributing to the school's systematic quality work focused on language, inclusion, and accessible instruction\nParticipating in transitions and welcoming newly arrived students when needed\n\nWe're Looking for Someone Who\nIs a certified teacher with qualifications in Swedish as a Second Language and\/or a special education degree\nHas strong knowledge of second language development and language-developing instruction\nHas the ability to analyze student needs and translate them into concrete pedagogical interventions\nValues close collaboration with mentors, subject teachers, and other professionals at the school\nIs relationship-oriented, organized, and has a solution-focused approach\nHas an inclusive perspective where student strengths and potential are central\n\nPersonal Qualities\nTo succeed in this role, you need to be responsive, collaborative, and proactive.
