We are now seeking a support assistant for Humlev\u00e4gen group housing \u2013 a residential facility for people with various disabilities, where you work closely with individuals and provide support in daily life based on their needs.\nWe use alternative and complementary communication methods, such as visual supports and sign language support. This is an important part of our approach and helps create security, predictability, and understanding in everyday life. We also use a low-arousal approach to meet each individual in a calm and respectful manner.\nSix residents live here, and several of them participate in daily activities programs, but they also have a home day each week. On home days, you accompany the resident on activities such as walks, shopping, coffee breaks, or other errands \u2013 always based on the individual's interests, daily condition, and abilities. It is a day where you provide support in both daily routines and meaningful activities, and where you together create structure and security.\nYour work tasks may include:\nproviding support in daily routines and creating a comprehensible and meaningful day\nplanning and implementing activities, both at home and out in the community\nworking with and developing various communication supports\ncontributing to structure, continuity, and a safe environment\ndocumenting and following up interventions based on the individual's needs\n\nWe are looking for someone who\u2026\n\u2026is calm, attentive, and has a respectful approach. You create security for others and adapt your way of working to meet the individual's needs. You enjoy motivating and encouraging, and find it easy to see possibilities in both major and minor progress.
