The residence is a service housing facility with five apartments for people with intellectual disabilities. The needs of our residents vary, ranging from care with full ADL (Activities of Daily Living) to more verbal support and guidance. The goal is for those living here to receive individually tailored support to live as independently as possible, where we promote health and rehabilitation.\nWorking as a support assistant involves providing residents with individually adapted support through a low-affect approach, and encouraging and motivating them in daily rehabilitation and living. Some of the residents have significant care needs and require assistance with transfers. We work to stimulate leisure activities and offer our residents physical activities, among other things. We have close collaboration with the health care team consisting of a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. The job tasks also include medication management according to delegation, social documentation in the Treserva system, and certain other administrative tasks.\nAs a permanently placed support assistant, you will have the opportunity to be a contact person for a resident and to be a representative for your own area of responsibility, such as hygiene, assistive devices, or safety. All support assistants with us are offered opportunities for further training internally. We work with targeted training initiatives based on the needs we identify in our operations.\nWork is scheduled for day shifts, evening shifts, and two weekends out of four. The work schedule may change if residents' needs change.\n \nAbout You\nWe are looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Health program, support assistant training, or Children and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialized education in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education the employer considers equivalent. You have previous experience working in care.\nWe want you to be clear in your communication and able to work pedagogically and methodically. Experience working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is a merit. You have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit.\nYou can adjust how you work when things change and can quickly shift your perspective and approach and see opportunities in change.
