BmSS Liberagatan consists of two units located on separate floors. You will be placed in one of the units on floor 10, but some shifts may be performed at the other unit on floor 9. This is because the units work closely together. Both units serve people with both physical and intellectual disabilities. We have a total of 6 residents in the housing on floor 10.\nWe are looking for you to provide support to people in their daily lives both at home and outside. The people we meet have varying support needs due to disability, so we are looking for you who can provide support to people in different life situations.\nWe work based on the principle that each individual should be involved and have the opportunity to influence how the day looks and what support they need. The individual should be given the opportunity to develop toward as independent a life as possible. Therefore, it is important in this assignment to have \"an eye for small details,\" that is, to be a good observer. Support includes all everyday situations both at home, at work, and in leisure time. Social activities or health-promoting activities, such as help with everyday rehabilitation, may also become part of your work. You will also be a contact person for a couple of individuals, which means you have contact with relatives and other networks and actively work with implementation plans and continuous documentation. You are part of a work group consisting of support assistants and support educators.\nAll social documentation is done in the documentation system Treserva. If you have not previously used the systems used within the City of Gothenburg, you will receive training in these.\nWork is done according to schedule and working hours include days, evenings, and weekends.\nQualifications\nWe are looking for you who have a diploma from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training, or the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social and pedagogical work. The education requirement is also met if you have a specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The courses should be in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.\nYou therefore need to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the language requirement, you may need to take a language test through test provider Educateit.\nMerits\nIt is meritorious if you have experience working in similar activities. Experience in neuropsychiatry, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), tube feeding, and providing support for epilepsy is also meritorious.\nGood swimming ability is important because swimming is a recurring and important activity in the operations. It is therefore important that you feel comfortable and safe in the water and can actively participate in pool activities.\nAs a person, you are friendly and helpful to other people even in stressful situations.
