We are looking to hire a student assistant (amanuens) to work with the secretariat of the Swedish Development Research Network (SweDev).\nThe position\nSweDev was founded in 2019 and is a network that connects development researchers across Sweden in order to strengthen collaboration within the research community and to increase interaction between development researchers and practitioners.\nDuties for a student assistant can include teaching, administration or participation in research or artistic research. The duties for this position will focus on assisting the SweDev secretariat by maintaining the website, communicating within and outside the network, co-organizing and disseminating information about events, monitoring relevant activities and new research findings, and participating in the regular meetings of SweDev's executive committee and steering group.\nThe person we need\nFor employment as an amanuens, you must be admitted to higher education at undergraduate or advanced (master's) level.\nThe person we need is a strong communicator who works independently, is well organized, collaborates well and has an interest in working with digital communication.\nThe following education, experience and expertise are required:\nexperience in development studies, environmental science or political science (Bachelor's degree or ongoing master's studies)\nknowledge of Swedish development cooperation and development-related research\nproficiency in English, spoken and written.\n\nIn addition, the following education, experience and expertise will strengthen an application:\nexperience managing social media and\/or a website for an organization, or similar experience\nearlier experience working in the development sector, in Sweden or abroad\ninterest in development research and SweDev's work.\n\nThe workplace\nFrom autumn 2026, SweDev's secretariat will be hosted at https:\/\/liu.se\/en\/organisation\/liu\/tema \u2013 Environmental Change and the Centre for Climate Science and Policy Research (CSPR) at Link\u00f6ping University.\nMore information about the activities at the department and unit can be found at https:\/\/liu.se\/organisation\/liu\/tema\/temam\nThe employment\nThe employment is a fixed-term position with a scope of 20 per cent of full-time for up to one year, with possible extension.
