Your tasks will include identifying and labeling drawings of interest to the Swedish Transport Administration, and then, as your main responsibility, rectifying these drawings.\nThe Swedish Transport Administration has had road construction drawings from the 1940s through 2000s scanned. These drawings describe road construction and component details. The material was scanned by the National Archives and delivered to the Swedish Transport Administration as image files (PDFA). The geographic placement of these drawings, which are grouped by road construction project or parts thereof, has been done primarily as summer work in recent years.\nRoad sections indicate where various scanned drawings are stored. Now it's time to take the next step and place the drawings in their correct geographic locations.\n\nQualifications\nWho are you?\nYou are solution-oriented and have the ability to understand different tasks. You are motivated by active participation where you take deliberate responsibility for your assignments while being mindful of how you contribute to the larger whole through collaboration with others.\nYou are a full-time student at the university level in GIS, Land Surveying, or Geodata and have completed at least 60 credits\nYou have experience and knowledge working in an ArcGIS environment\nYou have relevant work experience with historical maps, geographic data management, and rectification\nYou must not have started doctoral studies\n\nAdditional Information\nAs part of our team, you will work 25%, which equals approximately 10 hours per week.
