In this role, you will work closely with students, guardians, and school staff to create favorable conditions for students' future educational and career choices.\n\n1 position(s).\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nAs a career and education counselor, you are responsible for career and education guidance within the Astrad and \u00c5by school areas. The position includes work at the lower secondary schools within both school areas, with the distribution of working time based on the needs of the activities and student population.\n\nYou work to help students develop knowledge about educational pathways, the job market, and future opportunities. Through individual and group-based career and education guidance, you support students' development of decision-making skills and help them make well-informed decisions regarding upper secondary school choices and continued studies.\n\nYou are an important resource in the schools' work to integrate career and education guidance as a school-wide responsibility and collaborate closely with school leadership, teachers, and student support services to strengthen students' goal achievement and future establishment in education and working life.\n\nWork Tasks\n\n\u2022 Individual career and education guidance for students in grades 7\u20139.\n\u2022 Group guidance and information initiatives regarding upper secondary school selection, educational pathways, and the job market.\n\u2022 Information and guidance to guardians regarding upper secondary school selection and continued studies.\n\u2022 Planning, implementation, and follow-up of guidance initiatives and activities that strengthen students' decision-making skills.\n\u2022 Support for students during the transition from lower secondary to upper secondary school.\n\u2022 Collaboration with school leadership, teachers, student support services, and external stakeholders.\n\u2022 Participation in schools' systematic work with career and education guidance.\n\u2022 Conduct motivation-building conversations.\n\u2022 Documentation and administration related to the guidance assignment.\n\u2022 Contribute to developing consistent approaches and procedures for career and education guidance within the Astrad and \u00c5by school areas.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nWe are looking for someone who:\n\n\u2022 Has a career and education counselor degree.\n\u2022 Has good knowledge of the education system and job market.\n\u2022 Has experience in career and education guidance, preferably within lower secondary school.\n\u2022 Has good ability to plan, organize, and structure your work.\n\u2022 Has good administrative skills and experience using digital tools.\n\u2022 Has good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.\n\nPersonal Qualities\n\nYou work independently, in a structured manner, and take responsibility for driving your work forward.
