grid connections, or power plants.\nYour Responsibilities\nAs a System Design Engineer Specialist, you will be responsible for:\nDesigning electrical systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)\nSelecting and evaluating power conversion systems and grid-connected inverters\nDesigning electrical distribution systems, transformers and grid interfaces\nPreparing electrical engineering requirements, schematics and electrical layouts\nDefining system architecture and electrical interfaces\nLeading system engineering activities throughout the product development lifecycle\nDriving concept investigations and evaluating technical alternatives\nIntegrating deliveries from multiple engineering disciplines\nSecuring implementation of system and non-functional requirements\nSupporting specification, implementation and verification activities\nManaging technical interfaces across development teams\nContributing to technical roadmaps and future system architecture\nEnsuring quality and readiness before system releases\nCoaching and supporting other engineers within the team\n\nRequired Qualifications\nWe are looking for someone who has:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field\n8+ years of experience within electrical system design or power systems\nStrong experience with stationary Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)\nExperience with grid-connected inverters and power conversion systems\nSignificant experience working with:\nElectrical grids\nPower plants\nHigh-voltage systems\nSubstations\nUtility-scale energy infrastructure\nExperience creating electrical schematics and system layouts\nDeep understanding of electrical system architecture and integration\nExperience leading technical investigations and concept development\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\n\nPreferred Background\nWe believe you have experience from companies such as:\nABB\nHitachi Energy\nNorthvolt\nSiemens Energy\nSchneider Electric\nGE Vernova\nEaton\nOther companies within energy generation, transmission or grid infrastructure\n\nExperience
