The section is responsible for the university's shared examination halls. There are 775 exam seats distributed across eight examination halls located at F\u00f6rsta and Andra L\u00e5nggatan and Reutersgatan.\n\nhttps:\/\/www.gu.se\/om-universitetet\/hitta-organisation\/sektionen-for-tentamen\n\nJob Responsibilities\nAs an exam invigilator, you are an important part of ensuring that exams at University of Gothenburg's shared examination halls are conducted in a safe, fair, and legally secure manner. Your responsibilities include:\nreceiving students, checking their registration and ID\nensuring that exams start and end correctly, both for digital exams and paper-based exams\nsupervising the examination hall during the exam, being alert to disruptive or unauthorized behavior, and reporting any violations\nproviding students with clear information and answering questions about rules and procedures\ncontributing to creating a calm and respectful environment for students\n\nThe majority (90%) of examination hall exams are now conducted digitally. Digital exams are administered in a digital system that you as an exam invigilator also work in. As an exam invigilator, you are therefore also responsible for basic IT support. This includes assisting students with login, network connection, installation and updating of specific programs, and support in using the digital exam system. At University of Gothenburg, work is primarily conducted in a Windows environment, but many students use Mac computers.\nYou need to feel confident in the role and be able to handle situations where a student questions rules or behaves confrontationally. As an exam invigilator, you must be alert to what is happening in the hall and be prepared to act in suspected violations of rules to maintain legal security and quality in exam administration.\nTo ensure equal treatment and legal security, there is a comprehensive handbook with procedures and instructions for the work of exam invigilators.
