During our exam weeks (5 times\/year, where we may need you up to 30h\/week), it is especially important that you are available to us, but we also need you regularly during the rest of the year (up to 30h\/month).\nApplication Deadline: December 10, 2026\nWork Location: Eskilstuna\nDepartment: Education Support Department\n\nJob Responsibilities\nAs an exam proctor, you are very important to the students in the exam room, so we are looking for someone who can create a calm and secure examination environment while ensuring that the process is conducted in a legally sound manner.\n\nDuring a work shift, you are responsible for managing exam materials and ensuring that procedures are carried out according to MDU's regulations. You maintain a high level of service to students and colleagues and prevent cheating. You supervise up to 40 students alone, circulating in the room for 2-5 hours, sometimes in tiered lecture halls with level differences.\n\nShifts can be intensive during periods when a lot is happening and decisions need to be made quickly. However, most of the shift consists of monitoring in the exam room, where it is important to maintain attention and be willing to act if a situation arises. It is a requirement that you as an exam proctor follow instructions and regulations and apply the requirements they entail in the exam situation.\n\nAs an exam proctor, you have responsibility and many independent tasks simultaneously. We sometimes work in teams with up to 160 students, where everyone has a clear role during the workday, which makes collaboration and communication essential. We also conduct an increasing number of digital exams, so we expect you to feel comfortable with computers and be able to do simple troubleshooting, such as finding network connections, uninstalling and installing programs.\n\nExamples of exam room tasks include:\n- Seating students\n- Reading the exam room rules (in Swedish and English)\n- Distributing and collecting exam materials\n- Conducting ID verification and denying unauthorized students\n- Maintaining order in the room to give students the conditions to take the exam according to the university's regulations and guidelines\n\nPlease note that you cannot work as an exam proctor if you are a student at MDU.\n\nQualifications\nYou must be at least 18 years old\nHave at least a passing grade at upper secondary level in Swedish and English\nYou can communicate well in Swedish and English\nYou have experience with data handling, installation\/uninstallation of programs, etc.\nYou can walk around in an exam room for 5 hours\n\nA test is planned to assess theoretical knowledge and computer skills.\n\nMeritorious\n- Experience working in a school environment\n- Experience with administrative work\n- Experience instructing others\n\nPersonal Qualities\nIn an overall assessment of suitability, personal qualities are also considered important.
