Together we will create a flexible schedule that works for both you and the organization.\n\nAbout Vallgossen Elderly Care Facility\n\nVallgossen, located centrally on Kungsholmen with a focus on dementia and somatic care, is Stockholm Hospital's first and oldest elderly care facility. The facility consists of 102 apartments with beautiful, modern premises, as well as a large park and winter garden that allows outdoor activities year-round. A major advantage at Vallgossen is the proximity to the hospital and its facilities. Vallgossen also has a unit for people under 65 years of age with dementia or brain injury.\n\nWithin elderly care, we have a unique organization for health and medical services. The physician responsible for medical services at elderly care facilities under the foundation's management is employed by us. This strengthens continuity and collaboration in our professional teams.\n\nAbout the Occupational Therapist Role\n\nAs an occupational therapist, you will be part of our interdisciplinary team where you work closely with other professionals. Together with the physiotherapist, you are responsible for providing our residents with person-centered and everyday rehabilitation services. Rehabilitation occurs at different levels within the organization and is an integrated part of the social and health services offered. An important part of rehabilitation for the elderly takes place in daily activities. The physiotherapist and occupational therapist assess the elderly person's needs and determine whether any interventions are best performed by licensed personnel or by care staff.\n\nYour work tasks include, among other things:\n\nperforming functional assessments of ADL ability\nprescribing and fitting assistive devices\nguiding staff in function-preserving approaches\nassessing rehabilitation needs and establishing rehabilitation plans\nguiding staff members in creating an active and engaged daily life for our residents\n\nAre You Our New Colleague?\n\nWe are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist, is attentive and confident in your profession, and has a strong interest in working with the elderly.
