We care for patients with various psychiatric conditions and needs.\n\nJob Responsibilities\nAs a nursing assistant on the night shift, you play a central role in creating safety, continuity, and a good care environment for our patients.\n\nNight work places special demands on independence, judgment, and the ability to notice changes in the patient's well-being. You work close to patients and together with a registered nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that planned care and nursing are carried out during the night.\n\nThe work includes, among other things:\npsychiatric nursing based on the patient's individual needs and planned interventions\nobservations, supervision, and assessment of changes in the patient's well-being\nsupportive and motivating conversations\nsuicide prevention work\nsupporting patients with sleep, recovery, and functioning nighttime routines\nmeeting and supporting patients experiencing worry, anxiety, and acute deterioration\ndocumentation and structured handover reporting to day staff\npractical tasks that contribute to a safe and well-functioning care environment\nconduct somatic checks and observations, including NEWS, vital parameters, blood sugar checks, and ECG, and notice and report changes in the patient's health status\n\nOn M77, we see psychiatric nursing as an active part of treatment.
