We have approximately 400 employees at the Heart Center.\n\nIn the Thoracic Surgery's four operating rooms, approximately 1,100 thoracic surgical procedures are performed annually.\n\nThe operating rooms are bright, functional, and most are equipped with laminar flow ventilation. The educational scholarship is combined with a permanent employment with Region V\u00e4sterbotten with placement in Thoracic Surgery Ume\u00e5.\n\n2 position(s).\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nAs an operating room nurse with us, you contribute with knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure.\n\nIn Thoracic Surgery, you work in a team in the operating room, with the patient in focus. The work is characterized by mutual respect where all professions collaborate to provide the patient with the best possible treatment and care. Working as an operating room nurse with us means being responsible together with the anesthesia nurse for perioperative care. This role includes practical tasks such as instrument handling and assistance in the operating room, as well as non-technical skills such as communication and teamwork. The operating room nurse also has responsibility for inventory management, sterility control, and functional testing of medical equipment.\n\nThe position includes documentation, development of procedures, and supervision of students and new staff. Additionally, you assist with all tasks on the department that fall within your competence area.\n\nWorking hours are scheduled during daytime; Monday through Friday 40 hours\/week.
