One day you might cook together or go for a walk. The next day you might need to handle a significant conflict or help a young person regain calm.\nYou work one-on-one with a young person, getting the chance to really know them. You work independently, need to be able to make decisions, and trust your own abilities. There's no manual for every situation here, so you need to think \"Okay, that didn't work. What should we try instead?\" and dare to try again. But even though you work independently, you have colleagues, supervisors, and specialist support when you need to bounce ideas around, get support, or think out loud.\nThe work also involves collaboration with social services, schools, guardians, and other important people in the young person's life.
