We know that developing and engaged managers are a crucial prerequisite for meeting today's and tomorrow's assignments.\nSiS LVM-home R\u00e4lls\u00f6g\u00e5rden is now seeking a Unit Manager for our secure unit Nyg\u00e5rden.\nAs a Unit Manager, you lead, plan, follow up on, and refine the work on the unit so that you achieve set goals. You have overall treatment responsibility for the clients at the unit. You also have operational, personnel, and budget responsibility for approximately 15 employees on the unit. To assist you in your work, you have a group leader, a treatment secretary, and unit staff consisting of a treatment coordinator, treatment pedagogues, and treatment assistants.\nLeadership is operationally close and you meet both staff and placed clients almost daily. As a Unit Manager, you need to be comfortable making decisions that can sometimes be difficult and be confident in handling people in various situations. You may encounter challenging events and need to be comfortable guiding staff in both quick and extensive decisions. The leadership role also includes methodology development, documentation, and follow-up as important components. You are responsible for ensuring that common working methods and approaches are used and followed, and you support employees in their work. You ensure that employees have the competence for the care and treatment the unit provides and the conditions to carry out their tasks in a good and safe work environment. You also participate in the institution's management on-call duty according to a rotating schedule.\nAt the institution, there is active management group work where you as Unit Manager have a natural role, and there are good opportunities to work toward the entire institution's development.\nQualifications\nWe are looking for someone who has:\nAn academic degree of at least 180 credits with a focus on social sciences, healthcare, behavioral sciences, or another relevant academic degree.\nSeveral years of experience working in operations focused on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, healthcare and treatment, criminal justice, or other relevant operations.\nDocumented current experience in a management role.\nClass B driver's license.\n\nIt is meritorious if you have:\nExperience in management with operational responsibility, budget responsibility, and personnel responsibility.\nPrevious experience working at SiS.\n\nSince operations are often event-driven, you need to be comfortable making decisions, reprioritizing, and quickly shifting both pace and direction. You are calm and professional even in demanding situations and have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances.
