The operations are governed primarily by the Social Services Act, LSS, and the Health and Medical Care Act, and aim to implement interventions in accordance with these regulations. We work with the entire case-handling process from when an investigation is initiated to decisions and follow-up on interventions.\nThe work includes investigations according to current legislation where the best interests of the child always come first. This means identifying needs, compiling decision-making materials, making decisions, and following up on interventions both in open care and in placements in residential care homes, supported housing, or foster families. You will encounter both short, acute cases and long-term processes where the need for security and support is more extensive.\nA Varied and Meaningful Workday\nAs a social worker, you have close contact with children and young people, their families, and networks often in vulnerable situations.
