We view our close collaboration with the four regions in the Northern Healthcare Region as a major mutual asset for developing research and education and for securing access to our future healthcare personnel.\nDescription\nAt the Department of Nursing, which has approximately one hundred employees, education is provided for nurses and radiographers, specialist programs for nurses, midwifery, master's, and postgraduate education as well as research within three main subject areas: nursing, radiography, and sexual and reproductive health. We are now seeking a substitute university lecturer at 100% within the field of nursing.\nJob Duties\nThe position includes practical and theoretical teaching, supervision of students, and conducting and assessing examinations in undergraduate and advanced level education. Teaching will take place primarily within the nursing program but may also occur in the department's other programs and courses. Additionally, the position involves participating in the development of new courses and administrative tasks. Teaching will partly be conducted through distance education.\nQualification Requirements\nTo be eligible for employment as a lecturer in nursing, you must be a licensed nurse with a master's degree in nursing or equivalent qualifications.\nKnowledge and experience in skills training and practical teaching are meritorious.\nTo be eligible for this position, the applicant must have documented ability to teach in both Swedish and English.\nAs a person, you are service-oriented, take your own initiatives, are thorough, and can work independently. You are outgoing and have good ability to collaborate with students, colleagues, and groups both within and outside the university. Evaluation of pedagogical competence and clinical competence shall be given special attention in this employment. Furthermore, the degree of competence to contribute to program and course development shall apply.\nA general evaluation criterion for teachers at Ume\u00e5 University is both good collaboration ability, as well as the competence and suitability otherwise needed to perform the work duties well.\nWhen assessing pedagogical competence, documented experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching as well as supervision and assessment in nursing will be considered. Administrative competence can be demonstrated through competence in leading and developing activities and personnel as well as through the ability to collaborate.
